# Your LStack account

> Sign in to LStack and understand how your account works across computers and browsers.

You sign in to LStack with your email address and password. Signing in protects your dashboard whether you open it on the computer running LStack or from another device through LAN access.

## One account for your installation

An LStack installation has one owner account. You can use that account from multiple browsers and devices, but signing in with another account does not create another user on the installation.

<Info>
  Your LStack account is not stored only on the computer running LStack. Your projects, tickets, settings, and other application data remain on that computer.
</Info>

## Sign in

When you open LStack without an active session, enter your email address and password on the sign-in page. Your beta account may require email verification before you can continue. After signing in, LStack returns you to the page you originally opened.

You may be asked to sign in again when you:

* Use a different browser or device
* Open LStack through a LAN address for the first time
* Clear your browser data
* Sign out or end all active sessions
* Return after your session expires

Signing in from another device uses the same account. It does not copy your LStack data to that device.

## Manage your account

Open **Settings → Account** to review your account, update the supported profile information, change your password, or recover access. Use **Sign out** in the sidebar to end the current browser session.
